Looking down

Many people look down upon others
because they think they are superior.

But what is being superior?

Having more money?
Having better looks?
Being of a particular race?
Belonging to a higher social class?
Belonging to a particular religion?

It all depends on who is judging.

In the eyes of peace, those feeling superior
might well be of the inferior kind.

Peace judges people not on the basis
of what they have, but of what they do.
Of what they do in the way of generating
peace, love and human warmth.

Anyone of any race, social position,
religion, ideology or country
can belong to the so-called peace class.
Belonging to it makes anyone into a star.

Those looking down on others are generally
too blinded by superficialities to see it shine.
