Real value

You, Peace, see the world
as the place to boost peace,
understanding and solidarity.

You see being rich
not in terms of money,
but in terms of peace efforts.

You see value
not as the material wealth people have,
but as what they are as a person
and as what they do to boost peace.

The poorest of men and women
can have more value to you
than those having enormous wealth.

The poorest can be great,
because their real value is high:
they help to boost peace, understanding
and solidarity even though they have little means.

The richest can be small,
because their real value is low:
they concentrate on acquiring material wealth
and do little to help to boost peace.

Boosting peace is creating real value.
Real value is immaterial and everlasting.
