Real stars
Why do so many people expect so much,
while at the same time giving so little?
How can they expect to be treated fairly,
when they hurt or cheat on others?
Why are they so blind so as not to see
that the hurt they cause hits them too?
Why do their minds lack the light
to see what is needed to be treated fairly?
Our society is so competitive and selfish.
Performing well economically seems to be
all
that counts to be seen as a real someone.
Very often, this implies that life’s basic
principles
are broken or gravely neglected.
Breaking principles such as respect and honesty,
both with regard to people and to
Nature,
makes the diamond we all can be,
dull and of less and less value.
Any diamond needs light to shine.
The light can only be produced by sharing
peace,
love and friendship abundantly.
Only diamonds that shine strongly
can make it and become real stars.
